ROBORE CUTS HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

The Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974 requires Robore Group to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of our employees and anyone else who may be affected by our activities.

 

In order to carry out these duties, responsibilities for health and safety have been assigned and accepted at all levels within the organisation.

 

The arrangements in place to implement this policy form part of the company’s day to day operational procedures and as such will be reviewed on a continuous basis.  Where opportunities for improvement or problems are identified they will be tackled promptly and with sufficient resources to ensure they are dealt with adequately.

 

The implementation of this policy will be monitored at various levels throughout the company in order to ensure compliance with the defined performance standards.

 

 

It is our intention, so far, as is reasonably practicable, to:

* ensure that Health & Safety is never compromised for other objectives.

* provide sufficient resources to ensure that proper provision for health and safety can be made.

* carry out risk assessments of our activities and implement effective measures to control the risks present.

* provide and maintain plant and systems of work that are safe and without risks to health.

* ensure that arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances for use at work are safe and without risk to health.

* ensure that such steps are taken as necessary to secure that there will be available in connection with the use of any article at work, adequate information about the use for which it is designed and about any conditions necessary to ensure that when put to use, it will be safe and without risk to health.

* provide all employees with sufficient information, instruction and training regarding their health and safety.

* maintain a safe working environment for all company employees and ensure that it is without risk to health and that adequate provisions are made with regard to the facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work and the provision and maintenance of a means of access to and egress from it are safe and without risk to health.

* nominate a person who will be directly responsible for carrying out the company’s Health & Safety policy and to consult and discuss with employees any matters affecting their health and safety at work

* ensure that all works carried out by the company or on behalf of the company is carried out by suitably competent persons.

* revise the Health & Safety policy, as and when necessary, and communicate this information to all employees.

* Promote a positive culture for Health & Safety and commit to continual improvement in our performance through communication, innovation and reward.

It shall be the duty of every employee at work:

* to take reasonable steps for the health and safety of his/herself and of other persons who may be affected by his/her acts or omissions at work.

* as regards any duty or requirement imposed on his/her employer to any other person by or under any of the relevant statutory duties, to co-operate with the company so far as is necessary to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with.
