Wire sawing for the most demanding requirements
Ideal for removing large concrete structures
and where other cutting methods are impractical. A beaded diamond
wire is threaded through a series of pulleys attached to a drive wheel.
A constant pulling force is applied to the spinning wire to cut through
the concrete. The diamond wire sawing system can be used to cut through
vertical, horizontal, included and angled openings. The wire length
can be easily extended for almost unlimited cutting depths.
Diamond wire saws can be operated in confined
spaces, are fast and emit low levels of noise. It is a versatile
method for extracting large sections of heavily reinforced concrete
like bridge sections, columns and beams. Robore used this method
to help remove a detonator slab measuring over 800 cubic metres
from the Treasury Building in London's Whitehall district.
