How Does Concrete Crunching Work?

An extremely efficient method for removing concrete without vibration or water. Jaws are applied to the free or open edge of a concrete structure. Hydraulic power forces the jaws to close crushing the concrete. The process is repeated until the whole structure is removed.

This system is virtually emission-free avoiding noise, dust, vibration and water. Unlike concrete bursting there is no need for holes to be pre-drilled and the resulting rubble is much easier to remove. Due to the non-percussive nature of this process structural integrity is not affected and quiet operation means the minimum of disruption. This technique is ideal for heavy jobs on both internal and external structures.

Where Can You Use Concrete Crunching?

Concrete crunching is ideal for many applications that require the removal or demolition of concrete or Masonry structures such as walls, stairs and floors. The method makes it extremely fast and easy to break up any unwanted concrete or stone structures in a safe manner.

The Benefits of Concrete Crunching:

Environmentally Friendly

Concrete crunching eliminates harmful emissions and noise pollution. The method is also environmental friendly from an air pollution standpoint when damping down is employed alongside it, the powerful jaws of hydraulic crunchers exert pressure on the concrete as opposed to cutting or breaking.

Minimal Disruption

As mentioned above, concrete crunching is a non-percussive method. It is also vibration-free which ensures structural integrity.

Concrete crunching doesn’t require any pre-drilling. The high powered Brokk machines makes demolishing concrete structures very easy.

Suitable for Heavy Jobs

Concrete crunching is ideal for heavy duty applications including concrete up to 700mm in depth.

Concrete crunching is ideal for both internal and external concrete structure demolition and removal as the method is pollution and vibration-free and our fleet of robotic machines are fume free.

Concrete crunching doesn’t produce any vibration so the method is environmentally friendly emitting low levels of dust and minimal interference with the structural integrity of the adjoining structures
